I am a Licensed Professional Social Worker in the state of Arizona. I received my Master of Social Work from the Virginia Commonwealth University. My personal journey with grief, loss and anxiety led me to change careers to become a social worker and counselor. I combine my work experiences with my personal life experiences to bring a hopeful, optimistic, compassionate, respectful and collaborative approach to working with those clients whom I serve. I believe that we are all connected and that we learn and grow together toward our healing and wholeness. The stories of our lives teach and enrich our life journeys if we are open to them. I feel honored to walk beside my clients for a brief time and listen to their stories. |
Creative Grief SupportIs it possible to experience grief and loss – any type of loss – and learn to live wholeheartedly? Kara LC Jones of Mother Henna and Cath Duncan of Remembering for Good, along with many others, including Dr. Harriet Lerner, Dr. Lorraine Hedtke, Miriam Greenspan, Patti Digh, Dr. Darcy Harris and more, believe that it is indeed possible. A Certified Creative Grief Support Practitioner works with people to tap into their own natural resilience, understand some of the myths that get in the way of the natural healing process, learn how shame and guilt may obstruct the process, and use curiosity, creativity and our connections to others to integrate grief and find new meaning in our lives.
Grief is not a disorder, a disease or a sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical and spiritual necessity, the price you pay for love The only cure for grief is to grieve.
